Sounds of Eminen, DMX and The Notorious B.I.G. in the background as Ronaldo goes though a series of strength training exercises preparing for his upcoming grappling tournament.

I wanted to post this video for a few reasons.

1. t o show the diversity of fitness levels entering and exiting bodhi.
2. to demonstrate 3 basic movements I incorporate into  most client programming,  performed at the advanced level.
3. t o explain how  personalized our service is to our clients.

Diversity.
We just watched Ronaldo perform 3 basic  movements  at an advanced fitness level.  He is currently training for a grappling tournament next month and comes to bodhi once a week for strength training. Although ALL of my clients strength train, not all of them can nor should do these exercises.  Overhead shoulder press for example, as Ronaldo uses a barbell that weights 155lbs our small group training class may use dumbbells weighing 15 or 20lbs. We work with all fitness levels regardless of age or sex.

3 planes of motion.
I incorporate exercises to accommodate all fitness levels making sure the body moves in  all planes of motion and with as much balance as possible.  “Balanced”  is all relative to the individual clients needs. As I get deeper into this blogging thing I will speak more about how being balanced can be completely different client to client.

Barbell Vertical  Push Press- Coronal or Frontal Plane

Barbell Chest Press with stability work- Transverse Plane

Barbell Sumo Dead lift- Sagittal Plane

3 planes of human movement

Lastly, our personalized attention to our clients needs and wants. I began by warning you there was some music playing that may offend others.  We are all about our members success, without it we will not be successful.  So for our 1  on 1 private training our members choose what music they wish to workout to.  As a private studio we can do that, the place is theirs for their scheduled time. Here, Ronaldo chose  DMX.  “whatcha really waaant?”

bodhi. build.

exercise your mind. build your body.
